Looking for Joe

Cute conversation I had with Ben recently...

Ben: Momma, next time we go to church we have to look for Joe, okay?

Me: Joe? Who's Joe?

Ben: You know....Joe! We have to find Joe, okay?

Me: Okaaaay...we'll look for Joe. Why do you want to look for Joe? Where did you meet Joe?

Ben: Because Joe says 37:14, "Look at all the wonderful things God made".

Job 37:14, Look at the wonderful things God made.

Reunion Playdate

After years (over 4!) of saying we were going to get together, we finally did! Leslie, Stephanie, Mary Ann, and I grew up together since elementary school in Dripping Springs and now we all have children about the same ages. We had a wonderful "reunion" playdate over Spring Break at our home---thank you girls for all traveling down to good 'ole SA! All of our kids got along GREAT, and the moms had a wonderful time visiting and catching up on the latest news. With a couple of exceptions, we had never met each other's children, although we all felt like we already knew each other's beautiful children, because we are "bloggers"---and love to blog about our kids! I didn't take many pictures, but Stephanie and Leslie have amazing cameras, and they took many more---so you can check out their blogs (here: http://robertstephzach.blogspot.com and http://mikeleslietyler.blogspot.com) soon for more playdate pics!

Morgan Owens (Mary Ann's oldest) and Logan playing in the wagon together. Ashton Torres (Stephanie's youngest) snackin' at the picnic table.

Me and Hadley (Mary Ann's youngest; she has 3 girls!)

The whole group! From left to right: Leslie and Tyler (and baby Austin, 7 months in utero!); Stephanie, Ashton, and Zach; Ben, Logan, and me; Cadence, Mary Ann, Hadley, and Morgan.

Me and my boys had such a wonderful time playing and visiting with everyone. We need to make this an annual playdate! I feel blessed to know these exceptional women (and mothers!), and look forward to our next visit. Love you all!

Me and My Baby

Ben's Swim Class

Ben has been taking swim classes since he was 13 months old. He loves it. And he is good at it too! He has developed into quite the independent swimmer. In the picture below, Ben is swimming across the length of the pool! Good job Ben!

Ben and Cooper are great swim buddies. Ben and Cooper met as babies in the "Mommy and Me" swim class. Since then, Shana (Cooper's mommy) and I have become great friends and have watched our "babies" swim into wonderful little boys!

Logan in a Box

Why are children so intrigued with playing in boxes? I can't help but think of Dr. Suess's "Fox in Socks" book....

Playing in the cabinets

This past weekend we helped my parents move! We are so happy, and feel so lucky, that my parents found a beautiful house just down the road from us! Logan and Ben are very happy that Mimi and Gran will be just a few houses down the street! (We live at 119 Turkey Creek, and my parents new home is 114 Turkey Creek!) Talk about convenient... So, as you can imagine my two rugrats were quite the "helpers" getting Mimi and Gran moved into their new house. They both thought it was so fun to be able to climb into the empty cabinets and play peekaboo! (This picture is actually taken at their old house....but Logan had so much fun, that one of the first things he did at the new house was run into the kitchen and try to find what cabinet he could crawl into!)
