First Solid Food!

We introduced Emma to her first solid food today, rice cereal! She was so responsive with opening her mouth for the spoon! I was shocked---she actually acted like she knew what to do. :-)

Kindergarten success!

Ben had such a great Kindergarten year! Mrs. Odanovich was fabulous and taught Ben so much. He is definitely ready for 1st grade!
These are some pictures from his end-of-the-year party!

4 months! Getting big!

Emma has started to have a lot more upper body control and stability. We brought the Exersaucer out if storage, the Bumbo, and other "big girl" toys! She seems to enjoy them all.
At Emma's 4 month WCC, she weighed 16 lbs and was 26.25 inches long. She is rolling from her tummy to her back, sleeping 12-13 hours at night, has had 2 ear infections, and still on medication for severe acid reflux---which seems to be pretty well controlled with that and mommy avoiding dairy products!

1st Baseball Season

Ben played baseball for the first time this Spring. This was his first time playing a team sport and he had a lot of fun! He played on the "Blue Jays" team---and of course they went undefeated! Ben also proved he has quite the swing! Randy was so proud every time Ben walked onto the diamond.

A little coaching from Dad...

March was Busy!

March was fun! It was also the end of my maternity leave with Emma...oh how I cherished every minute being home with my babies. Here are some photos of my favorite times.

Emma loves bath time!

We have always bathed our babies before bedtime because it has proven to be a calming time. I mean who doesn't love a warm bath to relax you, right? Well, Emma's "fussy" time of day is typically between 4:30-6:30, where she cries and fusses and generally refuses to nap, no matter how long it has been since she has had one. But as soon as we get her naked and put her in the bath, the fussing stops and she is as calm and happy as can be. (You would never know she had been so upset for the past 2 hours!)
